After the success of its debut film YOUNG & FABULOUS 《最佳伙扮》, Encore Films embared on its second local production, cheekily titled FAT HOPE 《超磅名模》.
One of Singapore’s biggest productions, the comedy-drama is set in the world of fashion and tells the story of a supermodel who suddenly turns fat overnight. The cast features Alien Huang 黃鴻升, Lin Yu-Pin 林育品, Liu Ling Ling 刘玲玲, Hong Hui Fang 洪慧芳, Wang Lei 王雷, Henry Thia 程旭辉, Quan Yi Fong 权怡凤, Jeffrey Xu 徐鸣杰, Abigail Chay 谢季 and Priscilla Lim 林茜茜.
FAT HOPE tackles themes of beauty and body image with humour and heart, and will be among the first local films to showcase special effects makeup. The team includes Oscar-winning artists Vincent van Dyke and Odd Studio (Darkest Hour, Mad Max: Fury Road), and a top Taiwanese production designer (Cape No. 7).
